My name is Julia. I am a freelance illustrator based in Berlin and I create artworks for editorial and advertising clients and cultural institutions. I studied graphic design with a focus on illustration and experimental practice at the Folkwang University of the Arts and the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf in Germany. My illustration style is colorful, planar, and modular. I combine digital elements with textures, influenced by analog printing techniques, to get content-related and visually exciting contrasts. By playing with the familiarity of these analog textures and their haptics, I introduce a distinct liveliness into my digitally drawn images.
