Silja-Marie Kentsdottir
It all started during Silja-Marie Kentsdottir's maternity leave, in the middle of the pandemic. She asked herself the question "Is it now I should use this bubble to grab the dream of painting?". Said and done - now she paints mountains, big, soft mountains in muted colors. Maybe the motif will be replaced some day in the future, but right now she sees no end to her mania. For Silja-Marie, mountains are a big part of her childhood and upbringing in northern Iceland. They remind her of harmony, security and to love the simplicity of life. Being able to paint mountains keeps her one step closer to that feeling.
