This piece comes from a series of cut-paper collage colour palettes. I love the slight overlaps of the squares and the irregularity in which they are cut, they're reminders of the little human errors that occur when you just create without thinking or planning.

I'm a textile designer, artist and screen printer from London. I studied Textile Design at Central Saint Martins 2013-2016 where I specialized in print and pattern design, and fell in love with screen printing. After graduating I joined a south London studio where I began printing my own brand of lifestyle goods and also commissions for private clients, all while working a full time job. I moved to Stockholm at the end of 2017 and now have my own screen printing studio where I continue to create work on both textiles and paper for my brand, KJP, and also run workshops for the public. Since I primarily work with hand printing, I usually start each piece as a cut-paper collage before digitally reworking it - I like the idea that each work starts and finishes in my hands
