Since childhood, Ida Vikfors has been fascinated by different materials, surfaces and textures, and she has sometimes perhaps looked more with her hands than with her eyes. A predilection that has grown larger, the feeling of how different materials meet each other and an eagerness to be able to recreate a three-dimensional surface. Architecture, views and a weakness for textiles are what inspire her the most.
