An abstract painting in the form of a flat, round shaped color field. A personal interpretation of Josef Alber's color theory. The inspiration for this work was to play with rhythm and harmony.

Emma Harling is a designer and artist from Gothenburg but now living in New York. Her specialty is developing concepts and designing patterns for the fashion industry. Her personal work explores themes such as abstraction, color harmonies, repetition and rhythm in an intuitive and experimental way. Emma often sets up regulations to work from the outside and produces images in series to see where the theme carries off. This methodology has common features with the design work, which by its nature has certain conditions and limitations - a large part of the work is to solve a given problem in a satisfactory way.
