I love exploring the boundary between abstract and imaginative as well as making repetitive patterns out of my motifs, which this illustration is a result of. For me, this illustration is about a sun right on the horizon that reflects its golden light on the water surface. While others see a fan or the shape of their favorite candy from childhood. The interesting thing is that the motif invites people's imagination to build up the image. The warm yellow-orange lines are drawn with chalk, which contributes to a naive expression. The work is made by the artist Hanna Peterson and fits perfectly in the children's room.

My Name is Hanna Peterson and I am an illustrator and textile designer from Dalarna, in the middle of Sweden. Ever since I was a child the thing I wanted to do most was to draw. I never grew out of that feeling. Throughout my years at design schools I developed a passion for patterns and silk screen printing and I like to be able to use my illustrations in other contexts such as textiles. 2018 I graduated from Hdk in Gothenburg and I now work for a fashion house in Copenhagen.
