Emelie Törning started to paint in need of creating something where she has complete freedom in her expression. Art for her is a world to escape to without borders, no set templates, no rules. For Emelie, the creative process is a place without expectations. She only paints things that are in her mind. Painting makes her be in the present, completely free and spontaneous. Her paintings are inspired by the human mind, intrigue by life in everyday situations, questions about our existence and her current perceptions.
