DIY and vintage live side by side at the WOA apartment

Each piece of furniture holds its own narrative, telling a story about the people who inhabit the space. At the Wall of Art apartment the story is about creativity, blending DIY ingenuity with the timeless charm of vintage design.

To style the space, we collaborated with stylist Linnea Salmén, whose keen eye brought together carefully sourced vintage furniture with modern, personalized updates. A standout feature is the two furry chairs, designed by Salmén herself.

We transformed an IKEA sideboard with a brown coat of paint—a choice made to infuse the piece with warmth and sophistication. This simple yet impactful touch showcases how DIY tricks can elevate any interior. The vision for the space revolves around juxtaposition: the sleek lines of Scandinavian simplicity meet the interesting textured patina of vintage finds. Understated scandinavian furniture, bold lighting, and artfully worn wooden surfaces harmonize with playful elements like the custom armchairs. Together, these pieces form a cohesive yet dynamic narrative.
