In the heart of Berlin, Pauline's apartment is a vibrant blend of charm and creativity. Described by friends as a place that feels like a vacation, her home is filled with color and warmth. Despite the challenges of its open layout with minimal walls and large glass doors, Pauline and her boyfriend, Arash, have crafted a constantly evolving space that reflects their shared vision.
Their apartment is bright and inviting, with a dynamic arrangement of furniture that changes frequently. Pauline’s top decorating tips include utilizing vertical space, incorporating plenty of plants, and following your instincts—decorating should make you smile.
Pauline’s love for crochet, rekindled during the Covid-19 pandemic, plays a key role in her life and decor. Taught by her grandmother at six, this hobby became a business in 2021 with the launch of her brand, PAULUSCHKAA, which focuses on crochet and knitwear. Inspiration for her work and home comes primarily from color and the people around her.
Looking ahead, Pauline is working on new designs, offering crochet workshops, and planning a long vacation with Arash. Despite Berlin’s many attractions, her favorite spot remains her cozy, character-filled home. "Berlin doesn’t really try to impress, it’s just Berlin," she says, capturing the essence of the city she loves.
Our home is colorful and cozy and just very much us.
